Hard to make contact

I feel like I am being generous with a 3 but all the staff I saw today were lovely but I do find that some of the receptionist can be a little stand offish. Today I had two appointments for two things but only got a text about one of them, meaning I had to make contact with the surgery to check on the other which is just not easy. There is long waits on the phone and no way of just sending a message. I feel like the whole system is set up for the people who abuse it and we get penalised for them. It's a one size fits all system when everyone is different. My mother had to fight to be seen during covid when she got through on the phone was directed to online and she was in so much pain she really didn't know what she was doing. I am still waiting to discuss her end of life care as I want answers but I have been promised a call which just hasn't happened. I don't want to make a formal complaint but I feel is she had been seen earlier her final weeks could of been better.
