Original Feedback for Specsavers Opticians (Norwich, White Lion Street):

Refuse to make reasonable adjustment for Deaf

Several Deaf patients who use British Sign Language, have requested appointments with a BSL Interpreter. Specsavers refuse to supply and ignore the Equality Act and the NHS Accessible Information Standards. They are required to make reasonable adjustment to allow disabled access, they offer to 'read aloud written material' use Google translate, or write information down. For profoundly Deaf patients who use BSL, how does any of this Help? Specsavers show a total ignorance and disregard for these patients. They have a legal duty to provide qualified registered BSL interpreters. Why are still allowed to carry out NHS work!
