Extreme delays

I've been a patient here for 20byears and always had good treatment however they are not doing well post covid. My regular 18 month check up was due in December 2020. As of April 2022 the practice had only caught up to June 2020 so clearly an appointment is not imminent. Meanwhile I have now lost 2 fillings. I April I got an 'emergency' appointment for a temporary filling in mid June. Luckily I am not in pain but my teeth are clearly deteriorating without attention. I appreciate that the practice is doing its best and this seems to be a national problem. Both my adult children, who I carefully took to all their appointments throughout childhood, are unable to get a private or NHS dentist in their new locations. Government desperately needs to take action to address this dentistry crisis
