NOT A DOCTOR!!

Old age relative seen in A+E by someone calling themselves a "clinician". This immediately rings alarm bells. This person felt they were qualified to discuss CPR with my relative who has dementia, and said it was really her decision as it is a "medical decision". On prodding she admitted she wasn't actually a doctor but a practitioner. I still don't know what their actual role is and who regulates them..GMC?? NMC?? To whom do I complain? My relative was then examined by a consultant but my concern is that this person tried hard to conceal her role as not a doctor. It made me worried about their trustworthiness. The hospital needs to ensure that patients have a quick and easy way to differentiate between doctors and others involved in their treatment without having to ask 3 times for their job role and their regulator!!
