Anything but a pain in the backside

Was referred for worrying issues with bowels. Had a bit of a nightmare getting an appointment after my referral was sent but as soon as it was pencilled in the process was very smooth. Friendly staff, clean, respectful overall. Was kept waiting for a colonoscopy in little more than a gown in the corridor for 2 hours without being told anything but this was in fairness because of what I was informed was a very problematic and urgent care scenario that I don't think is fair to criticise the staff on having to prioritise. No details beyond this were shared which is again I think very appropriate handling and I was at no time in distress. The entire process otherwise was remarkably pleasant considering obvious circumstances. Procedure was undertaken professionally and with little pain and recovery was swift and pleasant. Anaesthetic was offered but I declined for very particular comfort reasons and did not regret this at all. Staff were attentive, conversational, respectful, and friendly. I was not released without a proper review, which was extremely quick while remaining thorough. Waiting time aside, extremely positive and glad to say my diagnosis was swift, accurate, and immediately actionable. Thank you.
