Unanswered phone calls
22nd September 2022Called up at 9 this morning waiting almost half an hour before someone picked up I wasn't placed in a que they told me to call back at one when I could get an appointment bearing in mind this call was for chest weakness from asthma so I call back at one I was on the line for an hour before giving up because I feel blatantly ignored at my time of need when I feel very unwell going to head to the walk in center to get checked out

Excellent care from Mile End Surgery Staff
20th September 2022I phoned at 8am for an appointment to see a GP as I have had inflamed and infected tonsils for four days. The friendly, helpful receptionist booked a telephone appointment with the Nurse Practitioner. I was amazed to receive the call only a minute after putting the phone down. The Nurse Practitioner was kind, sympathetic and curious. After a 10-minute call she emailed a prescription through to our local pharmacist for me to collect. This was so much better than booking an unnecessary face-to-face appointment and enabled me to access medication much quicker. The phone consultation hopefully prevented me from taking valuable in-person GP time from someone else in more need of this provision. Thank you Mile End Road Surgery for your swift, well-targeted care.

Difficult to contact and not good service
3rd September 2022I had to telephone 4 times before I managed to speak to anyone. No one answered the phone on the first 2 occasions, (I held on for half an hour), on the third occasion the surgery was closed for staff training. Eventually I got through on the fourth attempt. I was given a telephone appointment during which the doctor did not listen properly. I have been referred to a service that I didn’t want to be referred to. They are contacting me by text without my consent. I now have to stop this happening. This is not the first error that the surgery has made. In general, this is not a good quality of service. Although one doctor that I was actually allowed to see in person recently was very good.

Once you get to see a doctor it's good
22nd August 2022Making an appointment is difficult they refer you to the walk in centre. However, it is good once you get in to see a doctor.

They do look after you when you get in
22nd August 2022The people are all okay, they are just under a lot of pressure at the moment. It can be difficult for people who are feeling unwell or who have mental illness they just give up and don't bother to try again. The reception are lovely. I have just seen a doctor. She was really nice. They do look after you when you get in.

It's near and handy
22nd August 2022Everything is fine. It's near and handy. I've been coming since it opened. It was easy to make an appointment over the desk as we were here.

They don't seem to care
18th August 2022I have just changed from Mile End as it was getting worse and worse there. You cannot get through on the phone it is untenable. If you are not on the phone at 8am you don't get anything. It's a terrible service and the people on reception don't seem to care. There seem to be lots of locum Drs and the Drs who are there seem hurried and stressed and you don't feel cared for.

Excellent service - calm and helpful
18th August 2022I have just moved to this surgery and there is a different feeling about it - calm, helpful and I felt cared for. I am very impressed with the service I just had, the whole process is calmer.

They've always been good
18th August 2022My experience is they are 5 star. They are always very helpful, I always get in when I've needed to. I use email too. When I've been really ill they deal with it. 40 years I have been a patient here and they have always been good and the Drs and nurses are all nice.
