I’ve been with Birchwood Surgery since I was born nearly 39 years ago. I have a complex health condition and they are brilliant. My GP is fantastic and each member of the team I feel treats me as an individual and I feel completely treated with respect. They have also looked after my children very well. I can always get an appointment should I need one on the day. I am happy to wait for routine appt with my GP but this can take a few weeks. I feel very lucky to have such a brilliant surgery. I saw the doctor yesterday. It took me eight weeks to get an appointment! I'm not that enamoured at the moment with them.

It's a long time to wait. The doctor has told me that there's not much they can do for me, it's just "wear and tear".

I'm not very happy. But perhaps you have caught me on a bad day.

No complaints, brilliant standard of service! The staff are friendly, they give you enough time. They don't make you feel rushed.

They are approachable. It's brilliant.

The care is brilliant. If you need an urgent appointment, you can get one.

One thing I would say is that the seat I sat on this morning was a little bit smelly! but other than that, I think they do a brilliant job.

Very good! It's good service. Good response. It's good care. Getting routine appointments is bad, but if you ring on that day for help, they're very good. Compared to my last surgery, they're phenomenal. My wife thinks the same. They call you with results if they need to. Brilliant!

My only issue is that they seem to have so many appointments that could all be done in one. I saw the nurse for an over all check up, and then an asthma check up.

There are so many appointments wasted. The staff are really good.

I know the nurses are very qualified but I would still question what they can and can't do, due to the example I've just mentioned. But other than that, the staff are brilliant.

It's brilliant. I've had three face to face appointments in five months. The communication is fantastic. The communication from the doctors is brilliant.

It's so hard to get an appointment! I had asthma and I had a phone call. I feel it should have been a proper appointment. Sometimes it would just be nice to see a human face. I can get my tablets no problem, it's just trying to get an appointment that's the nightmare.

Absolutely fine. Good. Right from the start. They react very quickly if things are serious. It's incredibly well organised.

They've been very good to me. If I have an emergency, they've always fitted me in when I need.

I have regular dressings here. I never have to wait at the appointment time.

It's hard to see your own doctor but but they do fit you in. That's the only negative thing, really.

Six to eight weeks wait is a long time.

The surgery have done everything for me. I got Paracetamol the next day. I can't fault them.
