Everyone was really lovely, the optometrist explained everything including the scan results in detail. There was lots of appointment availability so I didn't have to wait long to book and got an appointment at the weekend so didn't have to take time off work. There was an IT problem while I was there which meant they couldn't use the online system so recorded everything on paper and said they would send me my new prescription via email once it was all fixed but they never did. But it hadn't chan ... ged much so not a massive issue.

Quick efficient and helpful - in stark contrast to specsavers

I visited Boots Opticians, Castle Mall a couple of months ago for an eye test and replacement glasses, one of which was a special pair for my hobby. I genuinely found the staff to be delightful: most were training but were keen and enthusiastic in every way: if they didn’t know, they said so and made sure they found out.

The optometrist, also training, was equally lovely and for the first time ever, reassured me by setting a context for my eye sight. He was careful to double check that every ... thing with the prescriptions would be just so.

I have had other similar experiences with this optician’s recently through two family members and can say, even down to a reminder phone call, the staff were equally helpful and very pleasant. I like the ethos Boots Optician is trying to develop and would definitely recommend them to others.

I had to have my eyes restested after the original test was not correct. Second test fine and duly went to collect glasses for the second time.

One pair for every day and one pair of sunglasses. Unfortunately.

the sunglasses were not tinted!! Staff apologised and and said they would send them away again and contact me within a week. Unfortunately, we are now 2 weeks later and I have heard nothing.

Why does no-one answer the telephone at Boots? It says "Your satisfaction guaranteed". This i ... s certainly not the case.

If only someone would answer the phone!! What sort of customer service is this? So frustrating.
