Norfolk
Carers Matter Norfolk is the countywide service funded by Norfolk County Council and the NHS to provide support to unpaid carers. All services are free and available to people caring for another adult. Support is available to those caring for someone living in Norfolk whether the carer lives in the county or elsewhere (caring at a distance). Carers Matter Norfolk is a carer-led service putting you at the heart of everything that we do. The service offer is flexible in approach and tailored to meet what matters to you as an individual carer. You can contact Carers Matter Norfolk to explain your situation and find out about the support that is right for you. Tell us about your experience of using our service and help us to develop and improve it so we can reach more carers and ensure they have the right support to live well and independently.

The lady who phoned listened to me and gave constructive advice and was very sympathetic to my circumstances. She was extremely supportive and this was most appreciated. The on going advice was very helpful.

They were very helpful when I was having a wobble. They listened, gave me lots of information and applied for some grants for me so I could have a break. It's been a very useful service.

After speaking to a nice person I felt that I'm not alone and having to struggle with health ,my partners health his elderly mum and my elderly mum who's in a care home with dementia

After an hour's long call with Rebecca(G) I felt reassured and much more positive. Having someone neutral to listen and advise and understand what its like to be at the 'coal face' caring meant a lot. Also made me realise too that I shouldn't doubt myself like I do at times. The action plan provided gives me much more clarity to know Ive got something to refer to. Thank You. 😊
