I have seen five different people!
I had an appointment and saw a physicians associate. They were very good.

As a result of that I needed to see the nurse. She arranged a next day appointment.

The nurse then said the test I needed had to be carried out by a clinician and that she could do it, so I had another test. Then I needed a blood test but the next available appointment wasn't for three weeks! The results from the first test showed that I might have a serious condition.

I have seen five different people!

My son has been seen 6 times in the past month
The first doctor I saw was insistent that what I believed to be eczema was a fungal infection. I questioned this as it seemed to be in a strange area (thigh) and would have expected this to be somewhere which gets damp - hands, feet, skin folds etc.

The Dr also insisted to check the nappy area despite me insisting there was no rash there. The Dr was very confident it was a fungal infection and prescribed antifungal cream.

The following week my son develops a whitehead like spot on his to
... ngue. This has happened 3 times now but they disappear within 24-48 hours on their own and then come back randomly a few weeks later.

I booked an appointment to get this looked at whilst it was there as I know it disappears quickly. The doctor diagnosed it as oral thrush and prescribed nystatin despite me breastfeeding and having no symptoms myself and it self resolves within 24 hours which thrush does not.

The doctor based this largely on the recently diagnosed fungal infection. 2 weeks later I phone back and questioned whether it was eczema again as it hadn't improved and the same doctor (I believe) said it was definitely fungal and that she was surprised it hasn't improved yet.

Again I ask if it could be eczema and I am told it is definitely fungal, to give it another week and if no improvement we will try another cream. I phone back 10 days later, nearly 4 weeks of antifungal cream has been used and still no improvement.

The physician associate I speak to advised it is highly unlikely to be fungal as it hasn't responded to treatment and agrees it's likely to be eczema and prescribes some creams. 2 days later it looks much better.

My son then comes down with hand foot and mouth and the nursery advises they need this diagnosed before he can return so I contact the doctors. They ask for yet another photograph and advise I will have a call back.

The doctor advises its likely folliclitis and wants to prescribe antibiotics

We were sensitively and sensibly prioritised.
A few weeks ago my mother-in-law woke up with her heart rate all over the place. We phoned 111.

We were advised to go down to the surgery for an ECG. They were not sure of the problem and so were told we should probably go down to A&E.

We were there for five hours. It was really good care all round.

We were sensitively and sensibly prioritised.

You have to take a day off to call this surgery!
Took me 2 hours to get through on the phone today! with the same repetitive music over and over again! You do get the option to request a call back, but if they cant answer the incoming calls how can they call you back! Ended up calling through dispensary, which still had a que but they got my query sorted! It should not be that hard or take that long to call your GP surgery!

Great for emergencies
If it's an emergency they're great. I went to my GP as I wasn't feeling well and they did two angiograms but they weren't happy with the results so they got an ambulance straight to the surgery.

Efficient and empathetic
They're brilliant. They're efficient, empathetic and their timekeeping is good. Very well organised and well managed. I get appointments ok with them.

If it's urgent they will fit you in!
They are good for vaccinations. It's not too bad for getting appointments, it does well considering the population. Because we're old we get prioritised. The nurses are good for injections.

You can't get in
It's difficult to get an appointment, even if you call early in the morning you can't get in. They just give you a phone appointment which I don't like.

The staff are all lovely
Whenever I've been there it's been fine. Whenever I've had issues they've seen me quickly. The staff are all lovely. I've not had any problems. I've got a lot going on but everything I've been down there for has been dealt with very well. There's no rush there.
