... He was compassionate, attentive, and went out of his way to make my daughter feel comfortable and less anxious. He spoke to her in a way that helped her feel safe and included, which meant so much to both of us. His care and professionalism truly stood out.
The team on Guist Ward were equally amazing. The ward felt clean, organised, and welcoming. Every member of staff we encountered was caring, approachable, and respectful. They worked so hard but still made time to check on us and answer any questions.
Thank you to everyone in A&E and on Guist Ward for your dedication and kindness. The care my daughter received was outstanding, and we are so very grateful.
... anks to all of you on the front lines.
... o one was available due to annual leave and someone will be there on Friday.
I tried the urology booking line to hear a recording saying that I can only leave message which I did but no one called back.
All I wanted to know is who I was due to see and where in the hospital should I go.
I find the communication at both QE and NNU leaves much to be desired.
Not my personal experience thank goodness but a friends.
How in this day and age can the hospital use someone elses scan results to misdiagnose a condition which puts someone's life at risk and has caused irreparable damage to their health!
This person still might succumb to a painful, unnecessary death. They are not out of danger yet, but their lives will never be the same again. A working business owner in their 50s will now be unable to work or enjoy life.
... eir name or dietary needs written on the boards above their beds so hospitality staff didn't know what people should have.
My husband stayed for a week and wasn't given a discharge plan when he was ready to leave. He also wasn't given any dietary information and he had a perforated bowel. I asked if he could see the dietitian and I was told to Google things. I asked how they knew I was capable of doing that properly and they said I looked like I could!
The staff were amazing throughout but the system failed them. Nobody had been to check the ward was ready to receive the patients who, for some reason, were moved all at the same time. It was chaotic.
We saw an amazing doctor, Karim, who just knew the system so well and how to get things moving. We had a diagnosis within ten minutes. He went from patient to patient making sure everybody was seen to in the best and quickest way.
I can not thank the staff of the hospital enough. From arriving at A&E to being discharged - I could not have asked for such an excellent service in every area of my stay. I would like to thank the staff especially in the critical care wards and the nurses who looked after me, showing compassion, displaying a professional standard in all my dealings with the staff of the N&N.
I had a fall just after Christmas and was very quickly referred for an X-ray at the community diagnostic centre. It was very efficient and a well run service, they even called me in 20 minutes early!
... with a smile on her face offering no input. Her time would be best spent returning people's calls, as I know others have experienced the same, and having a HCA there instead.
Twice I've been told last-minute in the operating theatre that I'm having a different procedure to what I'd been booked in for. No explanation or advice was given to me regarding consequences of these procedures by either my consultant or Specialist Nurse.
I know my care will be transferred back to my GP now but I hope this doesn't happen to anybody else in the future.
... orrying about my heart it also meant I was bed-blocking when other people were in the corridor.
6 months later I saw cardio, they told me I had angina and prescribed me medication.
NHS help always seems absolutely excellent or absolute garbage, there's no in-between.
