Really helpful and friendly
I have been in the discharge lounge a few times now and they are always really helpful, approachable and friendly.

Too much waiting
Sometimes the care is good and sometimes quite bad. Generally it's just waiting for things.

If you ask for help with anything it can take ages. I know they are busy but you shouldn't have to keep waiting for help.

Being in pain has also been a problem but many of the staff are very nice and try to help. I saw things on the ward which were distressing as other people were waiting for things and I found this stressful watching them.

I found it stressful watching another patient struggle beca
... use they were not getting the help they needed. The noise at night was difficult and I was often woken up by other patients shouting out.

The ward was too hot because it's an old hospital and there is no air conditioning, so we have to suffer. I was moved off Feltwell ward today because they needed my bed and I have been sitting here in the discharge lounge for ages waiting for transport.

Information and communication poor
Following a colonoscopy we were told we needed to be seen but no more information about how long and we assumed the procedure had gone as expected and all the abnormalities had been removed. However later we found out that they had not removed everything and there was some left.

We were not told this at the time. This situation is still on going and we feel the information we were given was not adequate and has led to much misunderstanding.

Overall quite poor
The nurses are quite good and if you ask they would try and find you an answer but finding things out was a struggle. I was stuck in a room with no internet or television for a week and it was terrible.

The time dragged. The food was good but overall things were quite poor.

The information was difficult to get and it was a shock to find out I had heart failure.

Not the best
People try their best but it's not good. I have been on Castle Acre ward which is supposed to be a diabetic ward but my cat knows more about diabetes than they do.

The food orders never arrive as they supposed to and it makes it difficult to manage my diabetes. It's also difficult to get the food you need when you need it.

I was connected to a drip and because it was attached to my bed rather than a mobile stand I have been unable to go to the toilet independently. I disconnected the drip my
... self sometimes just so I could go to the loo.

I asked for a mobile stand but was told there wasn't one.

Frustrating at times but otherwise good
Generally, the staff were very friendly and helpful and did the best they could for people. It would have been better if there was more tea.

I like a cup of tea and I didn’t seem to get any on some days. Information to start with was not that good as I kept seeing different doctors, but after a few days it became the same person and the information was better.

It was also better because they could see my progress from day to day. At first, I was frustrated because I didn’t know what was
... going on.

They have time for you
I think they are alright. They have time for you, they are very good and they don't push you off. I have to visit quite often and I find them very helpful

Excellent care
The staff work really hard and are always calm and friendly, even in the face of some abuse from patients. Good communication The patient was admitted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and was on the ward for 5 days.

The care has been excellent and Dr Magdi in particular has been wonderful. He's always friendly, keeps you informed of what is happening with your care and explains everything well.

The nurses are also really lovely. The discharge process was fine, he was told at 9am and was then
... taken to the Discharge Lounge around 2pm.

He has found his time on the CCU to be really comfortable, like staying in a private hotel! The food is really nice and it's a good menu, with lots of regular refreshments. He has found the staff in the DL to all be very friendly too.

My discharge has been a nightmare
The nursing staff and HCAs are excellent but the organisation is terrible. My discharge has been a nightmare.

I was told I could go home yesterday and I waited and waited for information and nobody said anything and then eventually they told me it would be today. I'm now waiting for hospital transport and just hope I will get back today.

There seemed to be delays in organising my discharge and I didn't know what was going on. I have been on AMU because the stroke ward was full but the team f
... rom the stroke ward came and saw me and I was kept fairly well informed.

I think the nurses are marvellous.

I was looked after fairly well
I think I have been looked after fairly well. I found out this morning I am going home today which is good. There was nobody to talk to on the ward as most of the patients were asleep.
