Wanted to register but was turned away.

In early 2020, new to the UK (although I am a UK citizen) I needed to register at a GP surgery. Beechcroft was my closest one so I went in person to obtain registration forms. I was informed by the receptionist that even though I am British, she doesn't think I can register as there should be a "waiting period" for patients who have lived out of the UK for a few years. This didn't sound right to me and she advised me to contact NHS England and went on to complain about all the immigrants arriving in the UK. Most unprofessional and sad that I had to be witness to this prejudiced attitude. Luckily, I am now registered somewhere else but I will steer clear of this practice, if only because of the receptionist's attitude.
