They do not take phone appointments seriously

This morning I got told I would get a phone appointment AFTER 5:30. Apparently because he was free, he decided to call me at 5pm. Of course I missed the call because I was busy, because I was told AFTER 5:30. So I call back 2 (!) minutes later, and now I’m too late and have to wait until Wednesday at the earliest. Totally ridiculous that I get shafted because the gp decided 5pm was a fine time to call when I had been told AFTER 5:30. It’s an APPOINTMENT, not a friendly call. Imagine if that had been an appointment at the surgery! Take phone appointments seriously from now on, they’re not less important. The receptionist had literally 0 sympathy for the appointment she set up being missed.
