Abrupt and Dismissive

I called the surgery for pain in my face, eyes, below eyes, jaw, ears and teeth. The receptionist was, in my opinion, very abrupt with me and informed me that they are doctors, not dentists, so they will not talk to me about my teeth. I explained that I was aware they were not dentists, but that my problem was not teeth related, but that it was also affecting my teeth. When I saw the doctor he was lovely and very thorough and diagnosed a sinus infection, which I had never experienced before and did in fact cause pain/discomfort in my mouth. The receptionist made me feel like my reasons to contact the doctor were invalid and a waste of time. In the future, it would be good if she could listen, validate, not be rude and abrupt and not pass judgement on individual concerns.
