Original Feedback for COVID vaccination experiences:

Unable to get vaccine after moving house

I moved from Wales to Norfolk and had problems getting a third COVID vaccine in Norfolk. There was a lack of understanding amongst the people I spoke to about the difference between a third and booster vaccination. Due to a health condition I have been advised to have 3 doses of vaccine followed by a booster. I had my first and second dose in Wales and tried to get a third dose in Norfolk. I was told at Old Mill surgery in Poringland that I should call 119 to get the vaccine, however after 9 calls to the 119 service I was still unable to get a third vaccine dose. I was referred to the data resolution team because they had no record of me as I had moved from Wales, and told I would get a call back. This never happened. I went back to the GP surgery and was once again told to call 119. I asked to speak to the Practice Manger who also said I should call them so I asked to call from his office with him present. He was surprised but happy to let me do this. The phone was on speaker and again I was told I would be called back. The practice manager was extremely helpful and he obviously then did something to help as I was contacted and told to attend a clinic in Wymondham. I am now concerned that I might not be on a register to be called for a booster dose. I have written to my GP asking for confirmation that I will be called and after 2 and half weeks I am still waiting for a reply
