Helpful and genuinely lovely concierge

Dear Market Place Surgery, I am a patient of Reepham and Aylsham Surgery, as are my parents, not Market Place Surgery. However, I wanted to write in to you to thank you for providing both myself and my elderly parents with the C-19 vaccinations last month. I especially wanted to write to say how completely wonderful the gentleman who staffs the queues outside the front entrance has been. First when I brought my parents at 8am on Monday 18th January at 8am in the morning. He was extremely kind and had a lovely personable way about him and made us feel very welcome. We waited in the car following his instructions and then your staff came out to the car and completed the vaccinations through the window. Everyone was lovely, but especially so this gentleman. Then again on 28th Jan when I was then called last minute for a vaccination the night before. The appointment I had been given was going to be extremely difficult especially as I had district nurse appointments for my 2 elderly parents who I help care for that day too, in addition to juggling home schooling my two young children. At the same time did not want to turn down the opportunity I had been given. I decided to arrive at 8am to see whether there was any opportunity for movement. Unfortunately, on that day vaccinations were not scheduled to start until 9am. He was yet again very lovely, listened to me, took my details, explained the situation to me that vaccinations weren’t actually scheduled to start until 9am. It didn’t matter that my Plan B hadn’t worked as hoped, I just felt that he was very professional and personable, and that would have helped if he could have. As it was vaccinations did start a bit earlier than planned and due to the fact I was the only person in the queue that had filled out their authorisation form in advance I was seen immediately the doors opened at 8:45am. I just thought I should write and tell you, even if you know already what a great asset he is to you. He is the first person that a lot of the people who are visiting your surgery, some of them like us for the first time, and he really is a credit to your surgery. A genuine star!
