Covid vaccination

Left hanging with no info on when I might be called for a vaccine. Have had the NHS letter for a week but nearest centres with space are 50 miles away according to website. Hoping for GPs to contact me soon. But they only have enough vaccine to operate once a week. Compared to younger friends in other areas who have had the jab weeks ago, we are slow. Considering this area has the highest number of older people, shouldnt there be more of an effort? Perhaps updating the GPs website would help. If I had a realistic idea of a date I might choose to drive 100 miles to Bury St Edmunds.
