Varied service, issues with records

Sometimes good, but bad over the last year. Depends on the individual staff members. Sometimes there can be problems with prescriptions, letters from the hospital etc. Some people can’t do enough for you, where as there are others who have barked at me! Can be real hit and miss. Nurse practitioners also. On trying to move to a new prescription – explaining my condition and being told that they don’t know what that is, so they can’t help me nearly reduced me to tears. How hard is it to look at someone’s notes. Other times they have been amazingly helpful and you think someone cares – brilliant. You can access your own medical record on their website which is great but there are recent letters from the hospital logged against dates from before I even had my op so all filed in the wrong places. The nurse practitioners are accessing these as well so it makes it very difficult for anyone to know what’s going on. My condition isn’t life threatening but what about for someone who is – key information could be missed! It’s a great service for carers of dementia patients etc. but records need to be correct.
