The appointment system is not good

You have to phone in on the day to book an appointment, every time I try online it doesn't work. You can wait three weeks for a non-urgent appointment. You can't get to speak with anyone other than a receptionist, it would be good if the patient could choose if they have a face-to-face appointment. There is a lot of opportunity with face-to-face appointments to see ongoing and underlying conditions which can be missed if only on the phone. I have lived in the village for 35 years, we used to have a family doctor who knew you so you don't have to tell your whole life story but now it is different. Also recently there have been a number of mistakes. I was given a double dose of medication, I've had lots of things sent back again. I was also given co-codamol for nerve pain by one doctor but the next doctor I spoke to said that it would be useless so I had been taking it for no reason.
