Getting in touch with the surgery pharmacy team is a trial

I need to order a specific medication for my partner on a fortnightly basis. Actually getting through is difficult enough, but getting someone efficient enough to organise the medication, and find out exactly when and where it will be available is almost impossible. The last time I did this I asked if the request could be sent to a different chemist, (the usual one is closed on a weekend) I was told, yes, this could be done, only to find it had gone to the usual one anyway & my partner was without pain meds for the weekend! I have written a letter of complaint & handed it in but have not yet received a reply.
