Hit and miss

Waiting times for your appointment once you are in the surgery can be long, as well as a long wait to get a routine appointment - I was told that there would be a 3 week wait for me to get a review with my doctor for a medication review. The reception staff were really helpful though and put me in for a telephone consultation with the GP the next day so it could be sorted over the phone. Emergency appointments are slightly easier to get, although you are usually phone triaged first, it can take a few hours to be called back by which time (especially with my children) I may have wanted to take them to A&E if they are really unwell. However the surgery do generally try their best to see children on the day if it's an urgent situation.
