Not a good experience
20th June 2019During my stay at the Fermoy Unit the staff seemed more keen to talk to each other instead of looking after patients. I didn't feel like the staff looked after me very closely and I spent most of my time on my own. The medications rounds and the food were all fine and there was one nurse who really did seem to care and looked after me very well.

They are unprofessional, dishonest and inhuman
8th March 2018My husband was admitted in there last year. We were treated with no respect and dignity. They deny my husband access the right diagnose and treatment. I made complaints to the manager and the manager's manager. The more I complained the more harassment I got. In order to cover their fault, they are trying to black my name.

Mental health nurses
21st February 2017Constantly cocking up medications. At least 2 at work whilst on come downs. A few good ones spoilt by a barrel of fermenting ones.

Firstly, we wish to apologise for the delay in responding to your comment which has been due to a change in the personnel responsible for monitoring and responding to comments about our services posted on line. We are sorry you have had a negative experience of our services at the Fermoy Unit. The Unit provides acute services for West Norfolk with an inpatient facility (Churchill Ward) and the Crises Response and Home Treatment Team (CRHT). It is not clear from your comment whether you are referring to an inpatient episode of care or community contact with the CRHT. But either way, we are concerned about the suggestion that you may have experienced medication errors during your contact with our service. We take medication errors very seriously and require any such errors to be internally reported and investigated. If you believe this has not happened, we encourage you to contact our complaints department with more information so we can investigate. Our complaints department can be contacted by email: complaints@nsft.nhs.uk, telephone: 01603 421486, or by writing to: Patient Safety and Complaints, Kingfisher House, Hellesdon Hospital, Drayton High Road, Norwich NR6 5BE
