It's fabulous

I would give it 5 out of 5 or 6! It's fabulous, everything is. My mother came here 3 1/2 years ago as she felt she needed to be somewhere safe. It was her choice. She has absolutely loved it "I feel safe" she said and that's what a daughter wants to hear. It is a proper home from home and they treat her like a queen. She saw a cake in a magazine, gave it to the chef and they made it for her. Mum asks "Why are they so nice to me, I don't like old ladies" They also have sherry each day if they want it and mum has her own whiskey locked away to have sometimes. I live close by so I am able to take her out sometimes and I can visit most days. If I go away I don't have any worries about her being looked after well. She says to me "I'm the luckiest granny in the world, aren't you clever to find this place". Mum is much better since she has been here, she is much less anxious. When I wasn't too well and unable to visit, the home offered to bring me lunch, I said no because I was okay but it was so nice of them to offer. I think this home is particularly special. The food is fabulous and my mother likes her food. I think she has the best room in the house and it looks just like her sitting room at home, she has lots of her own furniture in it. When mum arrived here during COVID they took her stuff from home and set the room up for her before she arrived so it was familiar to her straight away and when I saw it for the first time it felt so familiar and just like mums sitting room at home. Mum has a bath every day, it is all just wonderful. There is a fabulous garden and they have a hair salon in the garden too. When mum has her hair done I sit in the garden and wait for her in a comfy chair. It's like a hotel. Mum likes the garden she likes to sit and hide in different parts. The staff take an interest in the person and their back story before they even arrive here. They have a joke with mum which she likes. There is a dementia bus that came for some staff training and I was asked if I wanted to do the training too. I said yes and it was so good.
