Not an uncommon illness

I had been suffering chronic back ache, my doctor booked an MRI scan for me, on receiving the result he telephoned me, saying he wanted to see me today, at my appointment with him he told me I had an infection on my spine, he then spoke to the spinal unit team at Norwich & Norfolk university hospital and told me they would be in touch with me. I thought one to two weeks, within an hour I received a call from a member of the team to say could I come in now, which I did, I had a spinal biopsy and was then placed on antibiotics intravenously, I had a pic line fitted . My stay in hospital was eight weeks, the spinal team and staff were superb my consultant explained my pain perfectly and all the medical treatment he prescribed has made me realise how poorly I felt last year. My doctor then referred me to Integrated Therapy partnership at Churchill surgery to see a physiotherapist, a very nice lady who asked questions and I did some exercises all without any pain, so no follow up, just exercises to do at home. I would like to thank the Harleston practice for all the blood tests they have done for me, making sure they are with the right consultant for my visits to N&N. I have now fully recovered and feel ten years younger , so a very sincere. Thank you to my doctor.
