Womens health feedback

For me I feel the surgery has lack of resources and knowledge regarding womens hormone health. Blood test seem to be the ‘go to’, which unfortunately do not alway paint a true picture of what’s going on as hormones fluctuate. Perimenopause, menopause, diabetes, thyroid, depression, all have similar symptoms, so I understand the struggle. But not being able to call the surgery and having to fill out an online form before 10am mon-Thursday is not helpful. I have told to diet, offered antidepressants, put on HRT and then taken off it again. More need to be done regarding recurses and testing. I feel so sorry for our healthcare professionals. They are doing an amazing job, but unfortunately they are not supported by the government. If you suffer with any hormonal issues, it seems you have to go private. Which is a concern as the menopause isn’t just a condition for the wealthy.
