Unorganised maternity services

The James Paget was not as organised as I would’ve liked. Often my appointments were booked wrong with consultants. I was having twins so I needed double slots, often not the case when I arrived. All my appointments felt very rushed and I didn’t feel like I could ask questions. I was in the delivery suite for my twins. I had to have a c-section and I felt the communication was quite bad. I assumed I would be put under general anaesthetic but nobody told me it would be local anaesthetic and I’d be awake. Need more time with consultants so they can explain things properly. The midwife support workers were amazing, they took a lot of time with me and were very good. I don’t know if it’s there role to be more caring but they offer great support.
