Original Feedback for James Paget Hospital:

Discharge felt rushed

6 weeks ago my elderly father got an infected dressing whilst at home. He was taken to JPUH (he also has diabetes and a lung problem). His care package took 2 weeks to put together, so after 2 weeks in hospital he was sent home - this was at 10.30am. By lunchtime he had deteriorated and had started to turn delirious. We rang the GP who visited and instructed him to be taken to hospital by ambulance - however he went to the Norfolk and Norwich as we did not want him to go back to the Paget. His discharge had felt very rushed, it felt like they wanted him out as quickly as possible which resulted in him becoming ill.
