Cancer treatment experience

I was diagnosed with womb cancer in 2016. I was scared initially when having my first appointment but the consultant was so reassuring - he really took the time to comfort me. I waited 12 weeks for a hysterectomy which had to be at N&N. I did have a bad experience when I was in remission, I had a 7 minute appointment with a consultant which included an internal examination. It was abrupt and unfriendly. I mentioned that I had been feeling unwell too, but was told I was fine and sent away. A few days later I was in A&E having a blood transfusion because I had severe anaemia. Although I use the Louise Hamilton centre regularly now, my first experience wasn't so good as I turned up quite emotional and was just given a leaflet - I needed more than that! Overall though I have been happy with my care at JPUH
