Impossible to make a GP appointment

I realise there is a staffing problem but NO advance appointments with a GP? Fully booked till the end of April and they will not take bookings for future dates. If you ring for an appointment on the day all you get is the recorded message telling you they are all taken. There is no way of contacting the surgery by email or reaching the Practice Manager. After several years of poor patient care things really improved which apparently coincided with the appointment of a new Practice Manager so why have things now degenerated to such a poor level of service? A month to get an appointment with a Senior Nurse (who is at least able to make referrals) is not good enough and the only way I got this was to go into the surgery after several attempts at phoning only to be told patients could not come to the surgery to make appointments. This is a surgery in crisis preparing for thousands of new patients from new developments. How can we get even simple health care now and in the future?
