Were very friendly and helpful... not so, now
6th September 2021Conflicting information given from nurse to nurse! Called by hospital to cancel an appointment. Received a text message to remind me of the appoint. The reception were very aggressive and defensive when I turned up for the cancelled appointment, blaming everyone else! Lakenham Surgery is supposed to be my primary care. At the moment I am in a physical and mental mess thanks to Lakenham Surgey!

no Deaf access
1st December 2020Deaf man with COPD in pain, GP absolutely refused to make a home visits, despite several calls from Rotary House where the Deaf man lives. Not sure if GP would not visit because they knew they could not get a BSL interpreter from DA Languages, or whether they would just not make a homevisit. Pain suffered from Friday around to the following Wednesday when an ambulance was called, paramedics had long telephone call withGP who finally agreed to arrange for patient to be taken to a ward to avoid A and E which was a covid risk. Patient admitted and underwent a procedure. Days and days of pain because GP would not visit.

Cervical screening experience
7th January 2020Only a 4 because cervical screening is fairly unpleasant irrespective of who does it. The nurse and staff deserve a 5 because of their professionalism and kindness.

Good GP Surgery
7th May 2019Although generally a good practice I do feel staff should be more aware of services to support patients. Following a period of ill health and a diagnosis my GP was unable to suggest a support group despite a nationally recognised support group nearby. Despite this my GP makes me feel as if I have plenty of time to discuss my concerns.

Easy to understand with signing
28th September 2018I use an interpreter, I am healthy so not too bothered just go now and again. Doctor's letter goes to deaf connexions and they book an interpreter and the appointment, they're the middle man. Rotary house support worker too. It's easy to understand with signing. I am offered an annual health check and always have that blood test, ECG etc. and see nurse and doctor.

They're very attentive...
25th July 2018They're very attentive and caring. I go regularly for health checks and they have a very friendly feel, and it feels like a well run practice. They are very punctual on appointment times and flu clinics are fun well. A bit more parking would be my only improvement.

They are there if I need them
10th July 2018They are there if I need them. A lot of people say there are issues with appointments but I don't really go other than the odd tests. I try to look after myself and stay away.

Most doctors are really good
24th May 2018Most of the doctors are really good. One doctor doesn't listen so I request a different doctor and they can usually fit me in that day. Generally a good practice.

Easy to get to see the same doctor
21st August 2017A very good surgery. I always get to see the same preferred doctor and it is easy to get an appointment. I've heard some people have to wait up to a fortnight to even get an appointment.
