Long queues when collecting prescriptions

I used to have my prescription 'delivered' but there was never the complete prescription. I had to ring to get the balances. There was never a repeat prescription with the delivery. If I went to Lloyds I was told I had to go to the surgery to get a repeat and this happened on numerous occasions. I would ring before the delivery to make sure a repeat was enclosed. This never worked. They have since introduced a delivery charge which I am not going to pay for so I have been collecting my prescription myself. Collecting a prescription can only be described as the world's worst nightmare. There are always queues in the shop. There are about two girls, if you're lucky, trying to sort prescriptions as well as taking money for other merchandise. I have seen people standing in the queue wanting to purchase sundry items who get so fed up that they put the things back on the shelf and leave. I have written to Lloyds before about this. The only reason it is such a mess is because there is not enough staff. The whole thing is run on a shoestring with no regard for the customer. There should be separate tills for merchandise and prescriptions. These tills are already in place but never used. Talk within the shop shows nobody is satisfied with the service they get. Lloyds are making money out of the NHS and not providing the service. The staff are under pressure all the time and in the circumstances are perfectly polite and doing their best.
