35 minutes late for my appointment and then refused to see me

My appointment was at 9:20am for a smear test. I have two young children but managed to arrive a few minutes before my appointment. The person before me was a diabetic patient which takes a lot longer than an average appointment. I was not made aware of this when signing in, the system said that the nurse was running on time. I was then seen after 35 minutes and told I wouldn’t be able to have my smear test because I am 10 weeks postpartum. I was not made aware of this when I booked my appointment. My midwife only said I couldn’t have a smear when I was pregnant as this could cause complications. I then said as I was there I have another issue in that area, could the nurse have a look and she refused saying I would have to make another appointment. I advised her this was my appointment that she was late for but she said I would have to make another appointment. I feel really frustrated that my time was wasted, I was refused to be seen and I was on time with two young children. If I was 35 minutes late, I would be refused to be seen my the nurse or doctor as I had disrespected their time.
