Trying to get an appt

I called this morning to try and get an appt as I am in a great deal of pain in both knees. So much so I was unable to get so much as a wink of sleep last night! Was told a doctor would call me this morning. Come the afternoon I'd heard nothing so called reception once more. The receptionist explained that they have been very busy this morning and I am still on the list to be called. I then asked, politely, when I might be called as I still had things to do that necessitated going out....at that point the receptionist cut me off. The last thing one expects is to be cut off in mid call whilst suffering a great deal of pain. Previously I've had nothing but praise for this surgery however, I feel extremely let down and not a little angry to be treated this way!
