Lacking support for depression

I suffer from depression and it can be bad from time to time. I was told to speak to someone on the phone but I'd prefer to talk to someone face-to-face. I said that it would be easier for them and I to do it face-to-face but still no luck. I gave up because it wasn't suitable for me and just dealt with it by myself. My doctor then put me on tablets which made me feel sick. But I wasn't sure if it was the tablets making me feel sick or if I was feeling sick due to the depression. Doctor took me off the tablets but wasn't very good when I tried to ask if it was the tablets or the depression making me feel sick. They're not great with treatment explanation - I've got an illness that I feel like they've not explained to me. In general, I just wish it was easier to check on your concerns and not feel like you were being an inconvenience.
