CQC say that performance overall is good??

At the last 'announced visit' and review by the CQC the practice was found to be good? Perhaps an un-announced review is due? Apparently the practice has improved? Do the CQC read or listen to genuine patient reviews? I agree that there are some very good health care practitioners at the practice, in line with what other reviewers have highlighted. The receptionists are in need of further people skills training. The phone and online system need reviewing. The general feeling is that you are continually facing the denial of an appointment with a GP at any cost. Personally I have been told by a nurse, wrongly, that my painkiller medication was for blood pressure! Because I was found to have extremely high BP on previous occasions, 262/90, this issue had previously been raised by a hospital consultant to the GP and had asked that this be investigated and referred back to him. On a BP check appointment, at the practice, my BP was extremely high, the nurse referred to a Dr, who was on duty at the time, who prescribed additional BP medication. I mentioned that there were issues with my BP and any medication that I took and that I would need to discuss this with the GP. I raised the term 'labile,' this was not understood by the nurse. I mentioned contraindication to BP medication, this was ignored. I was denied the opportunity to speak to this GP and was told the medication was in line with protocol: Exactly, this was my issue, the GP had not read my notes! After I had requested a subject access request, from the practice, I discovered that I had kidney disease that should, at a hospital consultants request, have been regularly monitored by the practice : It had been almost two years without reference to me! Do you read patients notes? I had a GP letter stating I was urgently in need to be put on statins. Have you read my notes? Oh it would have been ok just that there could have been more bad side effects, I will check with a consultant and get back to you. : Ten weeks ago and heard nothing. Can I get a GP appointment online? So it continues.....
