Lymphoma

My previous GP mis-diagnosed me. This was partly due to being the wrong type of consultant. They had no people skills or compassion towards my situation and said that I had a 2% chance of having cancer and it turned out that I did. At the time they just shook my hand and said good luck. The GP I then received was very helpful and made us feel comfortable. The GP took the time and made an effort to call consultants to correct the issues that they made. The GP was open and ready to consider alternatives which opened up more options, and gave us a choice in treatment. I think that GPs and consultants should be open to trying alternative medicines/therapies and give patients the choice of treatment that they would like.
