Badly fitting denture / patronising attitude

I was seen by the dentist in November 22 for an assessment and fitting of a lower jaw denture Unfortunately when I came back in for the first fitting,? it was extremely uncomfortable sitting on my lower gum and caused several ulcers to develop under the denture in the few days I was wearing it I came back into see the dentist again and they shaved off some rough edges on the inside of the denture, however this did not resolve the problem , as within a few minutes of trying to wear it , my gum underneath the denture was sore I did not like the attitude of the dentist towards me during the several visits I made to them and do not take kindly to being called “A good girl “ for sitting back in the chair This is a patronising and offensive way to communicate with a patient whatever their age and is unacceptable As a chartered physiotherapist who worked all my career in the NHS I would never have addressed any of my patients in such a fashion I was then offered a full refund for the cost of the denture, however I initially declined the refund, as I wanted a bit more time to see if the denture might bed in a bit more over the Xmas holiday I am not someone who gives up easily However despite my trying very hard over the next 2 weeks to wear the denture, it was obvious it was never going to fit on my gum I therefore returned after Xmas with the denture and received a full refund for the cost less the NHS treatment fee I will not be seeing this dentist again and will be requesting that I am transferred to the new dentist who has joined the practice They have seen several of my friends and they are extremely happy with the service
