Less pressure on breastfeeding

I’ve had both my children there. My daughter in MLBU a few years back and my son more recently in the delivery suite. The care I received was generally very good, my only negative is with staying on the ward. The staff put a lot of pressure on you to breastfeed. I’m pro-breastfeeding and wanted to anyway, but not everyone does. I remember one very heated discussion between one of the mum’s and a midwife. It didn’t feel like very person-centred care. It should be each individual mother’s choice. Promote it, sure, but don’t pressure people. New mums feel enough pressure as it is.
