I had a heart attack last June

I had a heart attack last June and had an operation at this hospital the following day. It was a staged operation so there were 6 weeks until the next stage. I couldn't fault it. The hospital was great. I saw several nurses telling me how to conduct life which was a good thing. I was sent to cardiac rehab, 8 week course. I was fine to wait but I heard absolutely nothing. Christmas came and went and in the end my daughter chased them. It was very distressing I can't be bothered to chase them because I don't want to feel like I'm harassing. It wasn't me that put the application in it was my doctor. Eventually rang and I only got to see them last Friday. I got a dog that I walk for half an hour and I was told I was over taxing myself. Bit late to be telling me that. Need people to tell me about my condition straight away all the hospital said was that you'll be able to drive within 2 weeks - I wasn't told I only had 50% capacity in my heart! I saw the consultant 9 months after my surgery and I'm only now going to cardiac rehab. There is no link up with occupational advice, they lost my application which is so relevant for so many people. When do you know it's been too long - someone should be a little bit more on their toes. People that slip through the net because they wait so long. Living on my own it was so depressing waiting for the referral to come through.
