Poor communication after diagnosis

I had a histamine test at the respiratory department to check for allergies, then two weeks later I had a letter through to tell me that I tested positive, but they didn't tell me what to do!? I think I should have been told over the phone or called back in to be seen again, because I had to chase them up myself. The lack of information and advice about how to manage asthma is astonishing, but I think they're just under-resourced.
