Communicating diagnosis of cancer

They took my mum in when she was ill with cancer. Everything moved really quickly but they told her she had cancer before I could get there to be with her. When I lost her they also didn't put my mind at ease that I wasn't more at risk of getting it. I just wish it was a little easier to check on your concerns with someone. Are they a big issue? Should I be worried or should I just ignore it?
