Felt looked after with ongoing treatment

The followup care I have received after my treatment for prostate cancer was great - I still have six monthly check ups. I also got a letter through the door saying I was due to have a colostomy appointment, which initially confused me. It turns out that once you have received prostate cancer treatment you're entitled to a colostomy - I didn't know this but it's good that they monitor you to stop it reoccurring. I feel like once you're in the system they really look after you. Getting in to the system was easy enough as well, although I was reluctant take up the invitation because I didn't feel as though I was ill. It was my wife that really urged me to get the check up. However, once the results showed potential signs of cancer I was swept off to the hospital very quickly for further tests.
