Patient care doesn't feel like priority

There's lots they can improve on. I had a heart surgeon tell me he was okay although a speech and language specialist told me he was choking. Cut backs are more important than care. I saw my child struggle and fall behind in his development because professionals wouldn't listen to me. Patient care should be the utmost priority and sometimes it doesn't. When it comes to knowing my children the consultant should have listened to me and other professionals opinions - it's worth remembering that just because someone is a care leaver it doesn't mean they don't know anything.
