Poor care at N and N every admission

We have not found the N and N to be patient focused, some of the nursing care has been extremely poor on the medical wards, there is a dire lack of therapy input to my husband who had a serious stroke 7 years ago and who has limited mobility They cite lack of physio and OT staff well then the managers should get on and recruit more He has acquired pressure sores and infections in past admissions after inadequate nursing and medical care, with lack of proper assessment and interventions that should have happened Each time we have made complaints and have been told lessons will be leant it our opinion that doesn’t happen Unfortunately as this is our only hospital he has no choice but he would not willing want to go in there again As both of us have been clinicians in the NHS we know what standards of care should be and whilst we will acknowledge good care where it occurs equally when it is poor the clinicians will be told about it so hopefully they can improve I also have not found PALS to be any help whatsoever
