Prefer to come here
12th December 2017I prefer to come to the NNUH, over the Jame Paget. Nurses and staff are great. No complaints at all.

Very quick, professional care
11th December 2017I went in for a routine scan for cancer, it was very quick and I wasn't waiting around too long. Everything was sorted with results within two weeks. Good system.

Fantastic
11th December 2017I have used the cancer service in the past 2 years, it's fantastic. Everyone was very kind. Everything from scans to treatment was done well, no complaints. The aftercare was also very very good.

Midwives are brilliant, but need more of them
7th December 2017I had problems with my pregnancies, so had to have extra scans. They were very re-assuring. It was nice to see some males working in maternity. I had a c-section, it all went fine. Midwives are brilliant but there aren't enough of them. I had to be observed breastfeeding before I could be discharged. Every time my baby was ready to breastfeed I would call for a midwife, by the time they got there the baby wouldn't feed because it takes too long. It's not their fault, but it is an issue.

Brilliant
7th December 2017Everything was brilliant. I had twins so I had extra scans and more time with doctors and consultants which was great. I've had 3 pregnancies now and I've never had any problems. Happy with the service.

Didn't notice tongue tie
7th December 2017My child was tongue tied and the nurses didn't notice initially. This led to pain while breastfeeding. It was noticed and sorted after a while. I think detection of tongue tied babies needs to be better but other than that it was a brilliant service. The nurses were great.

Excellent, but a long long wait for discharge
7th December 2017Generally really really good. I was assigned a consultant and got a lot of appointments which was good. After scans there was often long waits to see a consultant, and I saw a different consultant each time, so there wasn't any consistency. I had a c-section which was fine, no issues. Midwives are great, but they are clearly overworked. It took all day to be discharged which wasn't great.

Midwives are great
7th December 2017The midwives were great, no complaints, everything went well. The doctor did notice our baby was tongue tied at birth, but it wasn't cut there and then. He didn't breastfeed properly for a couple of weeks, and eventually he had his tongue cut. I didn't understand why it wasn't done sooner. Otherwise a very good service.

Really good experience
7th December 2017Nurses looked after us. They were stretched but do as best as they can. When I had my second child, I had a room to myself which was better than being on a ward. After giving birth it takes a long time to be discharged, because you have to wait for a midwife to sign you off. They are so busy that it can take 10+ hours.
