Inadequate Support

My husband and I were both admitted to hospital at the same time (for different conditions) and we both needed bed rest when we were discharged and were too ill or immobile to prepare meals etc. Social care provided us with a carer for half an hour per day and it just wasn't enough. The carer was not able to get anything done in half an hour - unable to prepare a meal. We just felt completely helpless and abandoned. I was unable to go back to the hospital and have the surgery I needed because my husband was so poorly I had to look after him and I have been told it is too late for me to have the surgery I need which will affect my mobility. This could have been prevented if we could have had a little more support. There was no opportunity to challenge these decisions or leave feedback . I wanted to complain but we were just too ill and too tired.
