Adult mental health personal budgets

It’s a nightmare, an absolute mess. I receive 6 hours of care a week, my current contribution for care is £53 per week (I live on benefits). They send threatening letters when you can’t keep up with payments and I mostly cry every time my social worker emails me or the finance department write to me. I’ve asked over and over for them to contact my carers directly as it’s making me unwell and they ignore me. My actual carers are fantastic, I’m really happy with my agency - but NCC aren’t fit to provide services for people with severe and enduring mental illness and complex needs - they don’t speak Service User. They’ve caused me more harm than good half the time.
