Counsellors should be in every school!

All this talk about mental health support in school is just words. More money needs to be invested in to trained specialists in every school - the mental health crisis among young people is getting that dramatic that they can't afford not to. Kids need to feel safe and supported, but the schools just can't afford to hire a full-time counsellor, so the council need to step in immediately. There's no sympathy, and young people only seem to get support when they are really desperate. My son's school used to have a proper counsellor and he was absolutely brilliant, it gave him a chance to keep on top of his ADHD and depression. But now he's gone and lots of kids are struggling.
