Adult social services
6th November 2018I had an allowance for a cleaner because I'm on two sticks - because I don't need personal care I don't qualify. I was told to get family round but they live too far away. What am I supposed to do?

Cuts to social services
22nd October 2018Social isolation on the news, we need more lunch clubs and day centres etc. but money is being cut. People's transport costs too. We are running services on thin air - we used to get grants for both.

Adult social services
22nd October 2018They arranged care for my parents - re-homed them in sheltered accommodation. Their help with that was excellent.

Social services
22nd October 2018My Mum is in residential care but doesn't belong there, the dementia support for her type is not there, or for me. She's in there with very old people but that's not ideal for her type of frontal lobe dementia because more specialist care is needed. I'm chasing a specialist at Addenbrooke's through her GP.

Poor communication
22nd October 2018Trying to move my Mum from Kent, but Norfolk and Kent social services won't talk to each other, The left arm doesn't know what the right arm is doing. I think it all comes down to money but social services here is very poor. It was only when she broke her arm while staying with us in Norfolk we could get anywhere and that was all down to the hospital. Social services wouldn't talk to us.

Made sure I was happy with everything
15th October 2018Fitted everything in the bathroom (adaptations). Made sure I was happy with everything they'd done and how they fitted it out. They know what they're doing and are very good.

Social Care
28th August 2018My mum was in the Norfolk and Norwich, and needed end of life care. I got no support from the council whatsoever. I was ringing round all the homes myself and then finding they would not take her because she needed I.V. How can that not be included in end of life care? I worry what will happen to me as I become less capable.

Funding cut for transport
22nd August 2018Myself and my husband are disabled. We used to get funding from the council for my husband to have transport to a support group for people with brain injuries. That's been cut and now I have to find a way to get him there myself. It's very difficult, it seems to be getting worse with more cuts to funding access.

Home equipment
22nd August 2018My husband had a stroke and the council gave us house equipment to make life easier. This was all fine, they delivered it to us. After my husband died they wouldn't come and collect all of the equipment, I ended up leaving it at the hospital. Seems like a waste for them not to take it back.
